Project Outline: Full refurbishment including extensive remodelling of the accommodation and specialist flooring.

Purple Dragon is an exclusive day nursery in Chelsea. As well as a full refurbishment, the project also included extensive remodelling of the accommodation, principally to form an open plan kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, which required structural work to remove the party wall and install steelwork. All mechanical and electrical services were renewed and the project completed on time.

The vinyl flooring was an elaborate and bespoke design across the entire floor of the nursery, with a background of floor planks overlaid with a design specific to the use of an area, ie in the Art Room there are paint splashes, in the Music Room there is musical notation. The vinyl was supplied in oversize pieces and these had to be carefully pattern matched before cutting and gluing.

The works were completed to allow the re-opening on Saturday 26th December.
